A post with a photo is being widely shared on Facebook claiming that it shows children found missing on a Mumbai train. The post was first found on Facebook on August 8, 2019.  Let’s try to analyze the authenticity of the claim made in the post.

Fact: The case is related to Prayagraj city (UP) and the children have already been handed over to their families by the local police So, the claim is FALSE.

The post was first found on Facebook in August 2019 and is being shared widely on Facebook even now.

When the image in the post was subjected to Yandex reverse image search technique, a similar photo was obtained in the search results. The photo is a part of a tweet made in July 2019. In the tweet, the user sought clarification from the Agra Police regarding the image when it went viral with another claim (‘missing children found and are at Agra police station’). Then, ‘Agra Police’ replied that the case is related to Prayagraj and the children have already been handed over to their families by the local police.

To conclude, the children in the image have already been handed over to their families by the Prayagraj police (UP).
