An image in which a plate full of meat is seen beside UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is doing rounds on social media. In the image, we can also see a police officer kneeling before Yogi. Through this article let’s verify the claim made in the post.
Claim: Image of Yogi Adityanath with a plate full of meat beside him.
Fact: In the original image there are flower petals in the plate beside Yogi Adityanath. This image is morphed so as to make it look like the plate is full of meat. Hence the claim made in the post is FALSE.
When we ran a search on YouTube using the keywords ‘Police officer kneeling before Yogi Adityanath’ we found many videos with a similar image as in the post, reported by news channels. In one such video, we can clearly see flower petals in the plate which is beside Yogi Adityanath.
When we compare the image in the claim with that of in the news video, we can conclude that image of meat is placed on the plate digitally using tools like photoshop.
To sum it up, the image is doctored so as to make it look like the plate beside Yogi is full of meat.
