An image that shows Burj Khalifa lighted up with Syed Ahmed Khan’s picture is being shared by a few Facebook users. Let’s analyze the authenticity of that photo.

Claim: Image of the Burj Khalifa lighted up with Syed Ahmed Khan’s photo    

Fact: Image of the Burj Khalifa lighted up with Syed Ahmed Khan’s picture is a photoshopped one. So, the claim made in the post is FALSE.   

In the post, it was claimed that the UAE government has lighted up the Burj Khalifa with the image of Syed Ahmed Khan as a tribute to him. Syed Ahmed Khan is the founder of the renowned Aligarh Muslim University(AMU) and his birth anniversary is celebrated on October 17th every year.

When the image in the post was subjected to reverse image search technique, many search results were obtained. A search result among them had a similar image except for Syed Ahmed Khan’s image on the Burj Khalifa.

Also, whenever the Burj Khalifa is lighted up in the memory of a person or to mark an event, the official Twitter account of Burj Khalifa usually tweets about it. Such tweets made by it in the past can be seen here, here and here. But no tweet regarding the Burj Khalifa getting lighted up with the image of Syed Ahmed Khan was found on its Twitter account. So, the image in the post is a photoshopped one.

To conclude, the image of the Burj Khalifa lighted up with Syed Ahmed Khan’s photo is a photoshopped one.
