A video is being shared on social media claiming that it shows dancers performing an Indian patriotic song in an American talent show. Let’s fact-check this claim through this article.

Claim: Visuals of dancers performing an Indian patriotic song in an American talent show.

Fact: The viral video is an edited version of a dance performance uploaded on a YouTube channel called ‘Top Talent Kids’. The audio track of this dance performance has been replaced by the song ‘Jai Ho India’ sung by Vicky Parek, to make it look like they are dancing to this song. Hence the claim made in the post is FALSE.

A reverse image search on the screenshots from the video led us to a YouTube video uploaded on ‘Top Talent Kids’. The video in the viral post starts from the 0.36 timestamp of this video and ends at 3:10. One can clearly see that the audio in this YouTube video is different from that in the viral post. The caption under the video says, ‘ZURCORAH Aerial Dance Group GOLDEN BUZZER America’s Got Talent 2018.’ Taking a clue from here and searching about ‘ZURCORAH, the full video was found on their Facebook account. Even in that video, there is no patriotic song about India. The acrobatic group ZURCORAH was founded in 2009 by Brazilian Peterson da Cruz Hora.

We then performed a keyword search on the internet about the song in the viral video, and found that the song is Jai Ho India, sung by Vicky Parekh. This song was replaced by the audio of the dance performance and edited to look like dancers were performing to an Indian patriotic song in an American talent show.

To sum up, an edited video is being shared as visuals of an Indian Patriotic song performance at an American talent show.
