Sharing the video, this post claims that PM Modi had stated that every politician or star works day and night to create a quality product and said it is not correct to make comments against their work. Let’s verify the claim made in the post.

Fact: The video shared in the post is an edited one. The original video shows PM Narendra Modi watching the live telecast of the Chandrayan-2 launch by ISRO on 22 July 2019. The video does not show PM Modi clapping for the Pathaan movie trailer. Hence, the claim made in the post is FALSE.
When we searched to check whether any such video of Prime Minister Narendra Modi cheering Pathaan movie trailer had been released on the internet, we could not find any such video on the official social media handles of the Prime Minister’s Office and Narendra Modi.
On searching for further sources related to the video using relevant keywords on the internet, a video with similar visuals was found in a tweet made by ANI news channel on 22 July 2019. ANI tweeted the video stating, “Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi watched the live telecast of #Chandrayaan2 launch by ISRO, at 2:43 pm today. (Earlier visuals)”. The original video shows PM Narendra Modi watching the live telecast of the Chandrayan 2 launch by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).
Reporting the same, several other news channels have also published the same video in July 2019. On comparing the visuals from these news reports and the video shared in the post, it can be confirmed that the video shared in the post is a morphed one.
Earlier, when another edited version of the same video was being circulated on social media as the visuals of PM Modi clapping for Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra, FACTLY published a fact-check article debunking that claim.
To sum it up, a doctored video is shared as visuals of Prime Minister Narendra Modi applauding Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan movie trailer.
