An image of people lying on the floor of a corridor is being shared widely on social media with a claim that it shows poor Hindus who were stranded due to the lockdown. ‘FACTLY’ has found that the image is on the internet at least since November 2019. The image was seen on some media reports which reported about illegal immigrants in Malaysia waiting at the country’s Immigration office in Kuala Lumpur to return to their country of origin. As the image is an old one, it has nothing to do with the current lockdown in India that came into effect from 25 March 2020.
