A video of Modi seen along with Mamata Banerjee is shared on social media widely with a claim that people heckled Modi with ‘chowkidar chor hai’ slogans. FACTLY has found that the audio of this video clip is edited and replaced with that of another video. The visuals can be seen in a video posted on the Facebook page of ‘Akashvani Sangbad Kolkata’. The video is taken during Modi’s recent visit to West Bengal to assess the damage caused by Cyclone Amphan in the State. In the original video, no such slogans of ‘chowkidar chor hai’ are heard. The audio track of those slogans can be found in another video with the title – ‘On cam: Congress supporters chant ‘Chowkidar Chor Hai’ at BJP rally in Bengaluru’. The video shows Congress supporters in Bengaluru chanting anti-Modi slogans during BJP leaders campaign for Lok Sabha Elections-2019.
