Fact: The image was actually generated using Artificial Intelligence (AI) by an Iranian artist named Hamidreza Edalatnia. Therefore, the claim made in the post is False.

To verify the authenticity of the viral image, we conducted a reverse image search. This search led us to find the same photo posted on Instagram in December 2023. The photo was captioned as a ‘Re-envisioning’ of the Iranian urban landscape featuring a spiral pattern.

The image was uploaded by an Iranian artist named Hamidreza Edalatnia, who explained that the artwork was created using an AI tool called Stable Diffusion. A review of Edalatnia’s Instagram page shows additional AI-generated images similar to the one in question.

Further analysis was conducted by us using an AI content detection tool called AI Classifier by Hive. The tool indicated that there is a 100% likelihood that the image was AI-generated, with a 94% probability that it was generated using Stable Diffusion, the same AI tool used by Hamidreza to create this image.

We further searched the internet to see if there were any such naturally formed optical illusions in Epirus, Greece but we could not gather any evidence that proves the existence of such a phenomenon.
