Claim: The video shows a rope suspension bridge collapsing while people cross it in Bali, Indonesia.

Fact: The video does not show a real incident in Bali, Indonesia. It is an AI-generated video, confirmed using Google’s SynthID detection tool. No credible media reports confirm that such an incident occurred in Bali in 2025. Hence, the claim made in the post is FALSE.

To verify the claim, we searched for reports of a rope suspension bridge collapse in Bali, Indonesia, in 2025, but found none. An incident of this scale would have received significant media coverage, yet no such reports were found.

A reverse image search of keyframes from the viral video led us to an Instagram post featuring the same video (archived), uploaded on 28 July 2025 by the handle @kolotov_ai.

Upon reviewing his Instagram handle, we found that he describes himself as a Neural Networks Specialist and AI creator.

Suspecting the video to be AI-generated, we used Google’s ‘SynthID’ tool, which detects content created by its AI models. The tool confirmed that the video was generated using Google AI.
