Amity University student ‘Madhav Chaudhary’ is not dead

A post is being shared widely on social media with a claim that Madhav Chaudhary, one of the Amity University students beaten up during a fight between the two groups at the Amity University (Noida) on August 28th, has died in ICU. Let’s try to check the claim made in the post.

Claim: Madhav Chaudhary, an Amity University student who was beaten up in a college fight, has died in ICU.

Fact: Madhav Chaudhary is not dead. The Noida police has confirmed that he has been discharged from the hospital and is fine. Hence the claim made in the post is FALSE.

When searched about the issue on Google, it was found that the Noida Police have already posted about the issue on their official Twitter handle. In the tweet, Noida SP Vineet Jaiswal (IPS) mentions that Harsh and Madhav, who were beaten up in a fight between the students at Amity University, are fine and were also discharged from the hospital. He also condemns the fake news being spread about students being in ICU and Madhav’s death. More about the issue can be read here.

Also, an interview of Madhav Chaudhary by a web channel (‘Dilli Tak’) was found to be uploaded on YouTube yesterday i.e. on Sept 04.

To sum it up, Amity University student ‘Madhav Chaudhary’ is not dead.
