On reverse image search of screenshots in the video, a similar water tanker photo is found in an article published by ‘Amar Ujala’ news website on 26 January 2021. In the article, it is reported that a major accident took place during the tractor rally held in support of farmers at Amritsar city, Punjab. Two women have died and three women were reportedly injured when a water tanker ran over a group of women marching towards the sit-in meeting held at Vallah area in Amritsar.
When we searched for other sources using these keywords, we found an article published by ‘ANI’ news website on this incident. In the article, it is reported that a water tanker hit five women who were marching towards a sit-in meeting held in support of farmers. This incident reportedly took place at Vallah protesting site in Amritsar, Punjab. The People nearby thrashed the driver on the spot and handed him over to the police. Police filed a case on the driver and took him to custody.
Reporting the same, ‘NDTV’ published an article about this incident on 26 January 2021. From all these pieces of evidence, it is concluded that the accident video shared in the post took place at Amritsar city in Punjab, not at the Ghazipur border area in Uttar Pradesh.
