A video going viral on social media (here, here, and here) claims to show a Hindu girl marrying her brother after getting pregnant by him. The post is being shared with the assertion that the incident is real. Let’s verify the truth behind the video in this article.

The archived post can be found here.

Claim: The video shows a Hindu girl marrying her brother after getting pregnant by him.

Fact: The video is not a real incident; it is a scripted production created for entertainment purposes. It includes a disclaimer stating that it is fictional and does not depict a real event. The characters in the viral video were also found acting in other scripted videos. Hence, the claim made in the post is FALSE.

A reverse image search of the keyframes from the viral video led us to an X post (archived) dated 05 January 2025, featuring the same video. At the 0.09-minute timestamp, a disclaimer appeared, stating: “This video is purely made for entertainment purposes only. It is not intended to disrespect or defame based on race, colour, ancestry, national origin, ethnic group identification, age, religion, marital or parental status, physical or mental disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, or expression.” The name “Kanhaiya Singh” is visible on this disclaimer.

Taking clues from the X post, we searched the internet for Kanhaiya Singh and found his YouTube channel where he uploaded another video (archived) featuring the same boy and girl. This video also displayed the same disclaimer at the 0.05-minute timestamp, stating that it is a scripted video, with the name “Kanhaiya Singh” mentioned.

The comparison between the characters in the viral video and the other scripted video, where they match, can be seen below.

In the ‘About’ section of his YouTube channel, his Facebook ID was listed. After reviewing his Facebook handle, we found that he had mentioned “Expose and prank videos” in his introduction.

Factly had previously debunked similar claims involving scripted videos by “Kanhaiya Singh” that went viral as real incidents.

To sum up, a scripted video of a Hindu girl marrying her brother after getting pregnant is falsely shared as a real incident.
