A video (here and here) allegedly of a brother and sister from Uttar Pradesh who got married to each other is doing the rounds on social media. The man featured in the video says he and his sister are in love and want to marry. We fact-check this claim through this article.

Fact: This is a scripted video and does not depict a real incident that took place in Uttar Pradesh. Hence, the claim made in the post is False.
To check the claim’s veracity, we performed a reverse image search online, leading us to the same video(Archive link) uploaded to a Facebook page named Maithili Comedy.
After going through this Facebook page’s ‘Intro’ section, which labels itself as a ‘Video Creator’ page, we learned that the viral video is a fictional video they created for Entertainment purposes. Maithili Comedy posts similar comedy sketches and other scripted short-form content on their page. They even post such scripted videos on their YouTube page.
To sum up, a scripted video of a man saying that he loves his sister and they are ready to get married is being falsely shared as a video of a real incident from Uttar Pradesh.
