A video is being shared on social media claiming it footage showing the murder of Sidhu Moose Wala. On 29 May 2022, Punjabi singer and politician Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead in Punjab’s Mansa district. Goldy Brar, a Canadian gangster associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, has claimed responsibility for Sidhu Moose Wala’s murder. Let’s verify the claim made in the post.

Fact: The video shared in the post shows a shootout scene from the web series ‘Shukla the Tiger’. This video has nothing to do with Sidhu Moose Wala’s murder. Hence, the claim made in the post is FACTLY.
On reverse image search of the screenshots in the video, we found several old social media posts sharing a clearer version of the video. They can be seen here and here. A YouTube channel named ‘MKV Arts Film’ has published a video with similar visuals and described it as the making video of the ‘Shukla the Tiger’, a web series streaming on the MX Player digital platform.
On searching for further reliable sources of this video, we found the same video on actor Ravi Bhatiya’s Facebook page. Ravi Bhatiya posted this video on 23 October 2019 with a description, “Glimpse Of my Upcoming web series ‘Shukla-the terror’ for OTT Rapchee”. Ravi Bhatiya played the lead role in the ‘Shukla the Tiger’ web series.
When we searched for this gunfight scene in the ‘Shukla the Tiger’ web series, we found this shootout scene in the first season’s eighth episode of the ‘Shukla the Tiger’ web series. From 6:12 minutes of this episode, we could see the shootout scene in the web series. ‘Shukla the Tiger’ web series is inspired from the story of a gangster of Gorkhapur in the 1990s. This web series was released on the MX Player platform in May 2021.
On the other hand, CCTV footage showing the visuals of two cars following Sidhu Moose Wala’s car minutes before his murder can be seen here. From all these pieces of evidence, it can be concluded that the video shared in the post shows a shootout scene from a web series, not the footage of Sidhu Moose Wala’s murder.
To sum it up, a gunfight scene from a web series falsely linked to the Sidhu Moose Wala’s murder.
