Fact: The viral video actually shows actress Wamiqa Gabbi seen posing for the paparazzi and waving at them on 16 January 2025. Her face was digitally replaced with that of Monalisa Bhosle and share online. Hence, the claim made in the post is FALSE.
A reverse image search of the keyframes from the viral video led us to an Instagram post by Filmy Gyan, an entertainment media company, dated 17 January 2025. The post featured the same video, and the caption revealed that the person in the video is actress Wamiqa Gabbi.
We suspected that the viral video could have been edited, so we compared it with the video on Filmy Gyan’s Instagram. Upon closer inspection, we found that the viral video was created by digitally replacing the face of actress Wamiqa Gabbi with that of Monalisa Bhosle.
We also found that several media outlets (here, here, and here) covered this video showing actress Wamiqa Gabbi wearing the same outfit on 16 January 2025.
Factly had previously debunked an altered photo that was shared, claiming that Monalisa Bhosle is a Collector (IAS officer).
