In the comments section of the post, some users have written (translated from Kannada) – ‘Hindus, at least now understand. Wake up’, ‘Isn’t there a single Hindu among the useless people sitting there’. Let’s fact-check the claim made in the post.
Claim: Rahul Gandhi said that both Hindus and Hindutvavadis should be thrown out.
Fact: In the extended version of the same clip, Rahul Gandhi said – “From 2014, there is a rule of Hindutvavadis, not Hindus. We should once again throw out these Hindutvavadis and bring back the rule of Hindus” (translated into English). In his entire speech, Rahul Gandhi has differentiated between Hindus and Hindutvavadis. Hence the claim made in the post is MISLEADING.
When the screenshots of the video were run through Google Reverse Image Search, it was found that the visuals are related to Rahul Gandhi’s speech at a rally in Jaipur (in December 202`1). The whole speech can be found with the title – “India rejects Modi Govt’s endless Price Rise. | Mehangai Hatao Rally | Jaipur Rajasthan”, on Rahul Gandhi’s YouTube channel. The posted clip can be found at 12:08 in the video. In the extended version of the video, it can be seen that Rahul Gandhi says – “From 2014, there is a rule of Hindutvavadis, not Hindus. We should once again throw out these Hindutvavadis and bring back the rule of Hindus” (translated into English).
