Claim: BJP polling agent in Bihar violating the polling process by voting on behalf of other women.

Fact: The video actually shows a man influencing votes in Faridabad, Haryana back in 2019. The Chief Electoral Officer of Haryana took cognizance of the video when it went viral on social media and FIR was lodged against the person and he was arrested. The video has nothing to do with the recent Bihar elections. Hence the claim made in the post is FALSE.

Reverse image search of screen shots of the video led us to a 2019 news article which carried an image similar to the visuals of the video. According to the article, the image shows a man vitiating the polling process by influencing the voters in a polling booth in Prithla constituency Faridabad, Haryana.

Further search with relevant keywords led us to a  2019 news video which reported the incident. According to this report, the incident took place in Faridabad, Haryana and the man was arrested.

Further search led us to a tweet by Chief Electoral officer, Haryana who requested the Faridabad District Election Office to take necessary action regarding the issue when a Twitter user shared the video.

According to The District Election Office, Faridabad’s tweet, FIR was lodged against the man who tried to vitiate the polling process. Hence, we can conclude that the video is related to the 2019 Elections in Haryana and has nothing to do with the recent Bihar elections.

In the light of the Bihar elections and the RJD’s allegations regarding irregularities in the counting process, posts like these are being shared on social media platforms with misleading claims.

To sum it up, video related to 2019 General elections in Haryana is falsely shared as that of a booth capture in the recent 2020 Bihar assembly elections.
