Fact: The video is from 2018 when people from Maharajganj raised slogans and clashed with the supporters of BJP MLA Jai Mangal Kanojia. There are no recent videos of Maharajganj BJP MLA being beaten by the public. Hence, the claim made in the post is MISLEADING.
The video on the top right corner had the logo of News24. When reverse image search is done on the screenshots of the video with relevant keywords, the same video was found on YouTube. The video uploaded on 05 December 2018 is about a clash between the supporters of the Maharajganj BJP MLA Jai Mangal Kanojia and the public from the assembly constituency.
The people in Maharajganj district were raising slogans of Murdabad against the BJP MLA, Jai Mangal Kanojia, as he allegedly did not fulfill any promises made to them. After this, a clash broke out between the supporters of the MLA and the public there. Later, looking at the situation, the BJP MLA escaped from the place.
