Claim: Video shows a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) being beaten by quacks in Sambhal, UP.

Fact: This incident occurred on 25 July 2023, in Ladpura village, Gautham Buddha Nagar. According to the FIR filed by the police, the altercation seen in the video was a result of a land dispute among locals. BJP District Vice President Rahul Pandit was also involved in this dispute, which is unrelated to the CMO or doctors in Sambhal district. Therefore, the claim made in the post is False.

We did a reverse image search using keyframes from the viral video, which directed us to a tweet sharing the same footage that was previously shared as related to the Manipur issue. The tweet claimed that a BJP leader from Greater Noida was assaulted during a discussion about Manipur. However, the Police Commissioner of Gautam Buddha Nagar clarified that the incident was actually a mutual dispute between two groups, and charges have been filed against both parties involved.

To investigate this incident further, we used the police statement as a reference and searched with related keywords. This search led us to various news reports (here, here, and here) discussing the incident.

As per Dainik Bhaskar, this event unfolded on 25 July 2023, in Ladpura village, Greater Noida. The clash, which arose from a land dispute between two local factions, resulted in BJP leader Rahul Pandit, the district vice president of Gautam Buddha Nagar, being chased and assaulted. Furthermore, we found the FIR regarding this case, registered at the Kasna Police Station in Greater Noida (Gautam Buddha Nagar), which can be seen here.

Previously, the same video was falsely circulated with claims that a BJP leader in Noida was beaten for discussing the Manipur case.

To sum up, visuals of a BJP leader being beaten over a local dispute in Noida have been misinterpreted as showing quacks allegedly beating a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) in Sambhal, UP.
