Fact: This incident took place in Romania, not in France. Romanian police arrested a group of violent football team supporters on charges of assaulting the police personnel. Romanian police also seized illegal weapons from them. This video has nothing to do with the French police. Hence, the claim made in the post is FALSE.
On reverse image search of screenshots in the video, similar visuals were found in the videos shared in news articles published by many news websites during October 2020. In the article published by ‘DIGI 24’ news website, it is mentioned that this incident took place at Bucharest city in Romania. It is mentioned in the article that Romanian police arrested a group of violent football team supporters on charges of assaulting the police personnel who are in charge of managing the crowd at a football match.
