Fact: No such denial of blessings by the seer was reported by any reputed news agency. In fact, several of them reported that Rahul Gandhi and Siddaramaiah were given blessings by the seer on their visit to the mutt. It was also reported that the mutt seer has gifted a photograph of Rajiv Gandhi (when he visited the mutt) to Rahul Gandhi. Hence the claim made in the post is FALSE.
When the photo was run through Google Reverse Image Search, many news articles with similar photos were found in the search results. It was found that the photo was taken in March 2018 when both Rahul Gandhi and Siddaramaiah, along with other leaders, visited the Sringeri mutt. ‘Karnataka Congress’ and Siddaramaiah have tweeted the photos and wrote about the visit to the mutt. In the tweet made by the ‘Karnataka Congress’, it can be read that the leaders received the blessings of the seer.
The denial of blessings by the seer, as mentioned in the post, was not reported by any reputed news agency. In fact, several of them reported that Rahul Gandhi and Siddaramaiah were given blessings by the seer on their visit to the mutt. Some of those news articles can be read here and here.
