Multiple videos are being shared on social media claiming it as the recent visuals of crowded trains filled with persons attending the UP PET examination in Uttar Pradesh. Those videos can be seen here, here and here. Amid the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Committee (UPSSC) Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) held on 15 and 16 September 2022, these videos were being shared on social media claiming it as the pathetic arrangements made for UP PET examination. Let’s verify the claim made in the post.
Claim: Recent videos of crowded trains filled with candidates attending UP PET candidates in Uttar Pradesh.
Fact: The videos shared in the post show the old visuals of crowded local trains in Bihar, Mumbai and from Bangladesh. These videos are old and have nothing to do with the recent UP PET examination 2022 in Uttar Pradesh. However, there were reports of huge rush at bus & railway stations with lakhs of candidates attending the UP PET examination 2022. Hence, the claim made in the post is FALSE.
On reverse image search of the screenshots of the video, a video with similar visuals was found posted by a YouTube channel on 27 February 2018. This YouTube channel published the video reporting it as the visuals of a crowded local train travelling via Patna city in Bihar. The UP Fact-Check Twitter handle through a tweet clarified it as an old video and said it has nothing to do with the UP PET examination 2022. From all these pieces of evidence, it can be concluded that the video shared in the post is old and has nothing to do with UP PET 2022 examination.
On reverse image search of the screenshots of the video, a video with similar visuals was found published by a YouTube channel in March 2016. This YouTube channel published the video with the title, “Amazing Mumbai local crowd”. The UP Fact-check team also clarified the same through a tweet confirmed it was an old video and not related to the UP PET examination 2022.

From all these pieces of evidence, it can be concluded that the video shared in the post is old and not related to India.
On 15 October 2022, huge crowds were witnessed at railway stations and bus stations in various cities of Uttar Pradesh as UP PET candidates travelled to appear for the examination. But the videos shared in the post are old and have nothing to do with the recent UP PET examination.
