Fact: The video shared in the post shows an old land dispute related murder in Dhaka, Bangladesh. This incident took place on 16 May 2021 at the Pallabi area in Dhaka. Shahinuddin, a businessman in Dhaka’s Pallabi area was brutally murdered by the former member of Bangladesh Parliament MA Awal Haveli and his associates over a land dispute of 10 acres. This video has nothing to do with the recent violent attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh. Hence, the claim made in the post is FALSE
On reverse image search of the screenshots in the video, similar visuals were found in a video published by the ‘News 24 YouTube’ channel on 20 May 2021. This video reported it as the visuals of a man brutally hacked to death at the Pallabi area in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Shahinuddin, a businessman in Dhaka’s Pallabi area was reportedly stabbed to death over a land dispute of 10 acres. According to the details provided in the description, the chairman of the Islamic Democratic Party and the former member of Bangladesh Parliament MA Awal Haveli was trying to forcefully occupy 10 acres of the land belonging to the Shahinuddin family. Following Shahinuddin’s resistance to selling his land for a lesser price, on 16 May 2021, MA Awal and his associates killed Shahinuddin in front of his 6-year-old son Mashrafe.
