The University Grants Commission (UGC) has released a list of 21 fake universities in 9 different states. It released a public notice to this extent. This list is as on June 2015.
[orc]What is the issue?
Section 22 of the UGC Act of 1956 makes authorizes only a University established by a Central/State act or an institution deemed to be university under Section 3 of the UGC act or an institution empowered by an act of parliament, to grant degrees.
Section 23 of the said act also prohibits the use of word ‘University’ by any institution other than a university established as per the above mentioned norms. The UGC has identified 21 such institutions that are unrecognized. It has warned the public that these are fake universities and are not entitled to grant any degree.

The notice also says the matter of Bharatiya Shiksha Parishad, Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh is subjudice.

Superb, useful the students and parents
My question is that the name of the universities like CMJ and Eiilm are not given in the fake list of UGC but how some body make rumors that those above mentioned universities are fake….if it is so why did not ugc look when they started the courses with out taking permission of UGC . there are many students more that 10 cores they completed there degrees from those universities.what should be their lives at present.my request to the responsible persons of UGC they must solved the problems and confusion of those students who already completed their education from those universities .

EIILM is not providing Degree of MBA & 2ND YEAR Marksheet of students. Internet result of 2nd year & Maqrksheet of 1st year is avilable with students. How student recieve their degree & marksheet. pl suggest.
However UGC known about these universities. Then why these universities running since long.
