Fact: The viral video does not show a real incident of a woman abandoning her mother at an old-age home. It is a scripted video created by digital content creator Ashish Vats from Gohana, Haryana. Similar videos featuring the same elderly woman seen in the viral clip also appear in other videos uploaded on his YouTube channel, confirming that the content is staged and not a real-life event. Hence, the claim made in the post is FALSE.
A reverse image search of keyframes from the viral video led us to the same video uploaded on the Instagram account of digital creator Ashish Vats on 23 December 2025.
Upon reviewing Ashish Vats’ profile, we found that he is a digital content creator from Gohana, Haryana, and had shared several videos (here, here, here, and here) similar to the viral clip in December 2025. In all of them, the two women wear the same clothes, and the same conversation about leaving their mother at an old age home is shown (here, here, here, and here). Ashish had also shared similar videos on his YouTube channel in April 2023.
We found multiple videos (here, here) on Ashish’s YouTube channel in which the same elderly woman from the viral video appears, confirming that these videos are scripted and do not depict real incidents.
We have also reached out to Ashish Vats seeking clarification on this viral video and will update this article once we receive his response.
