A video is being shared on social media claiming it as the visuals of a pedal-controlled bike that could move at 90kmph without using a battery or petrol. Let’s verify the claim made in the post.

Fact: This video shows the battery-operated electric motorcycle, ‘eROCKIT’. ‘eROCKIT’ is the first pedal-controlled electric motorcycle manufactured by the Germany-based ‘eROCKITGermany’ company. This electric motorcycle could move with at a top speed of 90kmph. A fully charged ‘eROCKIT’ bike could cover a maximum distance of 120kms. Though it controls the vehicle speed using pedals, it requires a battery to operate. Hence, the claim made in the post is MISLEADING.

We could see the ‘eROCKIT’ name on the motorcycle shown in the video. When we searched to find the bike details using these keywords, a similar video is found on the ‘eROCKITGermany’ company Facebook page. They mentioned it as the visuals of ‘eROCKIT’, the first pedal-controlled electric motorcycle in the world. This vehicle was made by the Germany-based ‘eROCKITGermany’ company. When a user in the comments section had asked whether the ‘eROCKIT’ motorcycle requires continuous charging similar to the other electric bikes, the company officials responded saying that the ‘eROCKIT’ electric vehicle needs to get charged for four hours on a normal socket.

According to the information provided on the ‘eROCKIT’ website, a fully charged 6.6 kwh battery capacity ‘eROCKIT’ motorcycle could cover a maximum distance of 120 kms.

The speed control in the ‘eROCKIT’ motorcycle is not similar to the conventional motorcycles. ‘eROCKIT’ is a battery-operated electric motorcycle whose speed is controlled using pedals, not by using a usual throttle.
