Ahead of the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, political strategist-turned-politician Prashant Kishor made multiple allegations against Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary. He claimed that Chaudhary was named in a murder case in Tarapur, Munger, had concealed his age and provided false information in his election affidavit, and had not passed the matriculation examination. Samrat Chaudhary, however, dismissed these allegations as baseless.
In this context, a video of Prashant Kishor is circulating on social media (here, here, and here), in which he is talking to the media and allegedly says, “All the allegations I made against Samrat Chaudhary ji are baseless. I made these claims to diminish his popularity. I apologise to Samrat Chaudhary ji and the entire Kushwaha community.” Let’s verify the truth behind the video in this article.

Claim: The video shows Prashant Kishor apologising to Samrat Chaudhary and the Kushwaha community.
Fact: The video does not show Prashant Kishor apologising to Samrat Chaudhary or the Kushwaha community. The audio in the viral clip is edited and externally added. In the original video, he is seen criticising Bihar politics and Tejashwi Yadav’s work in his Raghopur constituency during his visit on 11 October 2025. These visuals were also shared on Jansuraj’s party’s X and Facebook accounts. Additionallly, We also did not find any reports of Prashant Kishor apologising to Samrat Chaudhary or the Kushwaha community. Hence, the claim made in the post is FALSE.
We noticed that the anchor is holding a microphone with “Live Cities” written on it in the viral video. Taking this as a clue, we conducted a Google search using relevant keywords and found an extended version of the same video uploaded on the YouTube channel of Live Cities Media Private Limited on 11 October 2025. We found that the viral segment is taken from around the 10-minute mark, where Prashant Kishor is seen speaking to Live Cities journalist Samreen. Talking to the journalist, Prashant Kishor, on arriving in Tejashwi Yadav’s Raghopur constituency, criticised Bihar politics, saying leaders elected on caste and “hollow promises of social justice” became “kings” flying in helicopters, while voters’ children lack basic facilities. He highlighted the poor condition of roads despite Tejashwi serving as Deputy CM and Minister of Road Construction and Rural Works. Kishor said he was there to gather public feedback, with any decision on who will be contesting from the Raghopur constituency to be made at a party meeting the next day. Nowhere in this clip is he seen apologising to Samrat Chaudhary or the Kushwaha community, indicating that the audio in the viral clip was externally added.
We also found that the same video was uploaded on Jansuraj’s party’s X handle and Facebook account on 11 October 2025. In these clips, Prashant Kishor criticises Tejashwi Yadav over Raghopur’s development, rather than offering an apology to Samrat Chaudhary.
We also did not find any reports of Prashant Kishor apologising to Samrat Chaudhary or the Kushwaha community as of 17 October 2025.
To sum up, this video of Prashant Kishor allegedly apologising to Samrat Chaudhary and the Kushwaha community is edited.
