A video (here, here, here, here and here) of a tea vendor pouring boiling tea on a boy has gone viral on social media, with many users believing it to depict a real incident. Let’s find the truth behind this video.

Claim: The viral video shows a tea vendor pouring boiling hot tea on a boy.
Fact : The video is scripted content created by a digital creator. The original clip was posted by a Instagram account booster_bhai, which regularly shares similar staged videos featuring the same individuals. Hence, the claim is FALSE.
To verify the claim, we first conducted a keyword search to check whether any such incident had recently taken place. However, we found no credible media reports supporting the claim. We then performed a reverse image search on Google, which led us to the original creator of the video. An extended version of the clip had been uploaded on the Instagram account booster_bhai on 31 December 2025.
While reviewing the booster_bhai profile, we observed that he identifies as a digital creator and regularly posts similar staged videos involving tea being poured on boys. This indicates that the viral clip is scripted (here, here, here and here).

We also found that the same boy seen in the viral video appears in multiple other videos on the same account, where similar “tea pouring” skits are performed on him (here, here and here). This further confirms that the viral video is an act and not a real incident.

Additionally, the YouTube channel of Booster Bhai contains over 700 shorts, most of which show similar staged tea-pouring scenarios featuring boys. This confirms that the viral video is scripted content created for entertainment purposes, not a real incident.

To sum up, this video of a tea vendor pouring boiling tea on a boy is scripted and not a real incident.
