A video is being shared on social media claiming it as visuals of Bollywood actor Aamir Khan admitting the box office failure of his recent film ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’. This video shows Aamir Khan acknowledging that somewhere in the making of the film, they went wrong and that most of the audiences did not like his film. Let’s verify the claim made in the post.

Fact: The video shared in the post shows old visuals of Aamir Khan admitting the failure of his previous action-adventure film ‘Thugs of Hindostan’. This video has nothing to do with Aamir Khan’s recent film Laal Singh Chaddha. Hence, the claim made in the post is FALSE.
When one observes the video carefully, one can see a watermark ‘हिन्दी Rush’ on the top right side of the video. When we searched for this video using relevant keywords on the internet, we found the same video published on the ‘Hindi Rush’ YouTube channel on 27 November 2018. ‘Hindi Rush’ published this video describing it as the visuals of Aamir Khan apologising for the failure of his film, ‘Thugs of Hindostan’.
On searching for further sources, a video with similar visuals was found published by the ‘Amar Ujala’ news website in 2018. Reacting to the audience’s response to Thugs of Hindostan, Aamir Khan said, “I take full responsibility for thugs not working with the audience. I think we went wrong but I would like to take full responsibility for that. You can be sure that we tried our level best. But we went wrong somewhere in the making. A few audiences liked the film. And we would like to thank them. But a majority of the people did not like our film. We could realize that”.
After the release of his recent film ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, Aamir Khan did not publicly speak about the audience’s reaction to his film (as of 12 August 2022). From all these pieces of evidence, it can be concluded that the video shared in the post is old and not related to Aamir Khan’s recent film Laal Singh Chaddha.
To sum it up, an old video of Aamir Khan apologising for the failure of ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ is falsely linked to his recent film ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’.
