A video (here, here and here) showing a donkey entering a parliament building has gone viral on social media, with claims that it was filmed in the Pakistan Parliament. Let’s investigate the truth behind this video.

The archived post can be found here.

Claim: The viral video shows a donkey entering the Pakistan Parliament.

Fact: The viral video is AI-generated. The visual inconsistencies in the video indicate artificial creation. Further, TikTok has labelled the clip as AI-generated, and AI detection tools like Hive and Deepfake-o-meter also flagged it as synthetic. Additionally, there are no credible reports of any such incident in the Pakistan Parliament. Hence the claim is FALSE.

To find the truth, we closely examined the video and observed several inconsistencies. For instance, people’s faces appear unnatural, some individuals appear in one frame and disappear in another, and at one point, a chair is seen floating in the air. These kinds of visual distortions are common in AI-generated videos, indicating that this clip has been artificially created.

Further, we performed a reverse image search on Google, which led us to the same video uploaded on a TikTok handle named sarabianspeed1. TikTok itself has labelled the clip as containing AI-generated media, confirming that the viral video is not real.

To further verify whether the video was AI-generated, we ran it through AI detection tools such as Hive and Deepfake-o-meter. Both tools flagged the video as AI-generated. Additionally, we searched for any such event occurring in the Pakistan Parliament but found no credible reports supporting the claim. This confirms that the video is AI-generated and the claim is false.

To sum up, the video of a donkey entering the Pakistan Parliament is AI-generated and not a real incident.
