Fact: This incident took place on 18 August 2022 in the city of Tampico, Mexico. According to news reports, a 25-year-old man was killed by a crocodile in Tamaulipas while swimming in a lagoon. Hence the claim made in the post that the incident is from Bihar is FALSE.
We performed a reverse image search with a few screenshots from the video and were led to a News Report. The report published by the website ‘el Imparcial’ contains an image of a man and a crocodile, similar to the viral video.
This incident happened on 18 August 2022 in the city of Tampico, Tamaulipas, in Mexico. Reportedly, A crocodile captured a 25-year-old man after he entered a lagoon. This incident was widely reported, and a few of these reports can be read here, here and here. The emergency services personnel later recovered the man’s dead body.
To summarise, this video of a crocodile swimming with a deceased man is from Mexico, not Bihar.
