Fact: This video shows an old event that took place at Murugan temple in Sivakasi, Tamil Nadu. In 2018, celebrating the occasion of Pradosham, diamond Kavacham (armour) was decorated on the Shiva Lingam at Murugan temple in Sivakasi. This Shiva lingam is not part of the Ekambaranathar temple in Tamil Nadu. Hence, the claim made in the post is FALSE.
On reverse image search of the screenshots shared in the video, similar visuals were found in the old videos published on social media. Most of these videos were published in August 2018. They can be seen here and here. These social media users mentioned them as visuals of Diamond Kavacham (Armour) on the Shiva Lingam at Murugan Temple in Sivakasi, Tamil Nadu. Reporting the same, the ‘Sri Sri Rashasthali’ YouTube channel had shared the same video on 24 August 2018.
When we searched for more information using these keywords, a video with similar visuals was found on the ‘News 18 Telugu’ news website, published on 22 September 2018. This article reported that it shows the Diamond armoured Shiva Lingam visuals from Murugan temple in Sivakasi. From all these pieces of evidence, it can be concluded that the video shared in the post shows the old Pradosham day celebrations at the Sivakasi Murugan temple.
