Fact: This is not the first time Sonia Gandhi participated in Dusshera celebrations at Ramlila Maidan. Several pics of her participating in this event at least since 2006 are available online. Hence the claim made in the post is MISLEADING.
We ran a reverse image search using the Viral image and found that the same image was shared by Congress Party’s Official twitter handle on 19 October 2018 during Dusshera Celebrations at Ramlila Maidan.
We also found the old images of Sonia Gandhi participating in Dusshera celebrations at Ramlila Maidan and applying Tilak or performing rituals to the actors who dressed as Lord Ram, Lakshman, Hanuman. Individual pictures can be seen here, here, here and here.
