The combined number of houses under both Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana Gramin and Urban is approximately four crores. Hence, the claim made in the post is MISLEADING.
Upon conducting a relevant keyword search related to the claim, we discovered that both speeches were delivered during the 2024 budget session in the parliament. After carefully listening to the speeches, we observed that Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman provided details about the number of houses constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana- Grameen on 1 February 2024, while Prime Minister Modi’s comments on 5 February 2024 covered homes built by the government for individuals in need, without specific classification into urban or rural areas.
