Fact: The woman whom Narendra Modi was bowing is Gita Rudresh, then mayor of Tumkur; she is not Gautam Adani’s wife. Hence, the claim made in the post is FALSE.
When the photo in the post was searched using Google reverse image technique, it was found that the photo was taken when Modi attended the inauguration of ‘India Food Park’ in Tumkur (Karnataka) in 2014. From a newspaper article attached in a tweet, it is learnt that the woman in the photo is Geeta Rudresh, the then Mayor of Tumkur in Karnataka.
Also, from the details of Modi’s visit published in ‘OneIndia Kannada’ article, it can be seen that Modi reached Tumkur helipad at 9:56 am and was welcomed by Tumkur Mayor, Gita Rudresh.
To sum it up, the woman whom Modi was seen bowing in the photo is not Gautam Adani’s wife; she is Gita Rudresh, the then Mayor of Tumkur.
