Fact: The incident in the video took place at Muzaffarabad in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK). The police in the video are not Uttar Pradesh Police. Hence the claim made in the post is FALSE.
When the screenshots of the video were run through the Yandex Reverse Image Search, the same video was found in the search results. The video uploaded on YouTube has the description that the incident took place in Muzaffarabad (PoK) on 22n October 2019. So, when searched with the relevant keywords, a video by ‘ANI News’ was found in the search results. The video had the following title: “2 killed in police brutality during peaceful protest in PoK’s Muzaffarabad” and similar visuals can be seen in the video. So, the police seen in the video are not UP Police.
To sum it up, the video shows Pakistan Police beating protestors during a rally in Muzaffarabad (PoK).
