Fact: The people dancing in the video are not real police officers; they are actors. Actress Preeti Goswami posted the same video on her Instagram profile in March 2022. Hence the claim made in the post is MISLEADING.
When the screenshots of the video were run through Google Reverse Image Search, the same video was found to be shared by some media agencies as Kerala cops dancing to the tune of Kacha Badam. So, on searching with some Malayalam keywords on the internet, an article published by ‘Mathrubhumi’ in March 2022 was found in the search results. They reported that the ‘Hotel Dewland’ (the hotel name can be seen in the viral video) has clarified that the video shows actors dressed in police uniforms and the actors were part of the film – ‘Rakachhashi’.
We found that actress Preeti Goswami, who is part of the film and is seen in the viral video, posted the same video on her Instagram profile in March 2022.
