A video is being shared on social media with a claim – ‘A Boeing 747 being launched from a cargo plane with one on top of the other, taking off while defying all odds’. While the video looks like a simulation, it is being shared on social media as a real video. Let’s fact-check the claim made in the post.
Claim: Real video of a Boeing 747 being launched from the top of a cargo plane.
Fact: It is not a real incident. It is a simulation video posted by a YouTube channel (‘Bopbibun’) with the title – ‘World’s Biggest Airplane Antonov An 225 Carry Boeing 747 (GONE WRONG) | X-Plane 11’. Both of them did not find a place in the last released 2020 list. Hence the claim made in the post is MISLEADING.
When the screenshots of the video were run through Google Reverse Image Search, no proper information related to the video was found in the search results. So, when we searched with some relevant keywords (words which are written on the plane and in the post) on YouTube, similar videos were found to be uploaded by a channel with the name – ‘Bopbibun’.
On looking at the videos uploaded by the channel, the posted video was found to be taken from the video titled – ‘World’s Biggest Airplane Antonov An 225 Carry Boeing 747 (GONE WRONG) | X-Plane 11’. In the description of the video, it can be read – ‘This is only in the flight simulation. This situation is not real!’.
Also, in the ‘About’ section of the channel, it can be read – ‘I am not the pilot either an expert in aviation. I am just a guy who enjoy to play the flight simulators, therefore, my videos are only just for entertainment purpose.’
To sum it up, a simulation video of ‘Antonov An-225 carrying Boeing 747’ is being shared as a real incident.
