Amidst this, a video depicting a Sikh man in camouflage dress (Army uniform) making controversial statements about Pakistan being able to reach Delhi within ten minutes if Sikh soldiers stationed at India’s borders were to join the protest is widely shared across social media platforms, with the claim that the video is recent and from the ongoing farmers’ protest in 2024. Through this article, let’s fact-check the claim made in the post.

Fact: The viral video has been circulating on the internet since January 2021. Therefore, there is no possible connection between the viral video and the ongoing farmers’ protest in 2024. However, we could not independently confirm when or where the video was shot. Hence, the claim made in the post is MISLEADING.
To verify the viral claim, we conducted a reverse image search using keyframes from the viral video, which led us to an extended version of the same video posted on X(Twitter) on 30 January 2021. The post indicates that these visuals belong to the farmers’ protest that occurred in the year 2021. Since the upload date predates the start of the farmers’ protest initiated by the farmers on 13 February 2024 (here and here), it is evident that the viral video is already present on the internet and has no connection with the recent farmers’ protest.

From this information, it is clear that the viral video has been circulating on the internet since January 2021, and it has no connection with the recent farmers’ protest of 2024. However, we could not independently confirm when or where the video was shot.
