Fact: Visuals of the video shown in the post are related to the bus accident that took place in Meghalaya in October 2019. A bus carrying 20 BSF Jawans fell into a deep gorge one civilian helper died and all the 20 BSF Jawans got severely injured. Hence the claim made in the post is FALSE.
On reverse image search of the screenshots from the video, it is found that the visuals shown in the post related to an old incident that took place in Meghalaya. In October 2019, a bus carrying 20 BSF jawans accidentally fell into a deep gorge. A civil helper died and 22 other persons including 20 jawans got severely injured in the accident. ‘Northeast News Now’ website in their article explained about this incident. The same visuals can be seen in a video posted on YouTube in November 2019, informing the same.
In the past, a video with similar visuals went viral claiming 12 jawans died in a bus accident in Meghalaya. Responding to FACTLY email then, BSF-Meghalaya authorities clarified that ‘All the jawans are safe and undergoing treatment at various hospitals’.
