Claim: AAP is outsourcing paid volunteers to farmers’ protest.

Fact: This is an old video, it went viral back in 2018 after AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal’s meeting in Hisar, Haryana. This video has nothing to do with the ongoing farmers’ protest. Hence the claim made in the post is FALSE.

Reverse image search of the screenshots of the video in the post led us to a 2018 YouTube video which carried visuals similar to the video in the post.

Further YouTube search with relevant keywords led us to a 2018 news video which carried visuals of one of the men who can be seen in the viral video. According to this news video, after Arvind Kejriwal’s meeting in Hisar, a video went viral in which volunteers who attended the meeting can be seen complaining that AAP leaders failed to pay the pre-agreed amount.

A member of AAP’s social media team shared a video in which the viral video was juxtaposed with another video of the man seen in the viral video stating that the man was made to lie in the viral video. Though we were not able to confirm the allegations made against AAP in the video, all these prove that the video has nothing to do with the ongoing farmers’ protest.

To sum it up, old video alleging AAP paid workers were part of a rally is falsely linked to the ongoing farmers’ protest.
