A reverse image search of the viral photo directed us to various news reports (here, here, and here) from 2016. Each of these articles featured the same image and video relating to the incident. Based on these reports, it is evident that the event transpired in October 2016 in Valparaíso, Chile. Chilean Officer F. Venegas apprehended a man who was in the act of creating graffiti on a wall, kneeling on him during the arrest. Subsequently, the photography website ‘Frente Fotográfico posted an interview with the young man, suggesting that his life was not claimed in the arrest. This evidence contradicts the claim that the image shows an Israeli soldier kneeling on a Palestinian boy.
