Amidst the escalating conflict between India and Pakistan, a video is going viral on social media (here, here, here, and here), claiming to show the aftermath of reported strikes by the Indian armed forces on multiple strategic locations in Pakistan. It shows an open area with several parked cars engulfed in flames, with visible chaos, possibly caused by explosions. A voiceover can also be heard, in which a man announces: “Take your kids and the elderly, lock your home, and move towards the road ahead.” Let’s verify the claim made in the post through this article.

Claim: The video shows the aftermath of reported strikes by the Indian armed forces on multiple strategic locations in Pakistan
Fact: The viral video has been online since at least 01 February 2025, and it is unrelated to the ongoing India-Pakistan tensions following the 2025 Pahalgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor. Hence, the claim made in the post is MISLEADING.
A reverse image search of the keyframes from the viral video led us to a longer version of the same video on YouTube, dated 1 February 2025. The video description revealed that the footage was from a plane crash that occurred in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in the United States. This confirms that the viral video is unrelated to the ongoing conflict between India and Pakistan.

We used relevant keywords and found multiple media reports about this crash (here, here, and here). According to the reports, on the evening of 31 January 2025, a tragic plane crash occurred in Northeast Philadelphia, near Roosevelt Mall, resulting in the deaths of seven people and injuries to at least 19 others. The crash involved a Learjet 55 medical transport aircraft operated by Jet Rescue Air Ambulance, which had departed from Northeast Philadelphia Airport at 6:06 p.m. The aircraft, en route to Springfield-Branson National Airport in Missouri, crashed less than a minute after takeoff, descending rapidly and hitting several buildings.
However, we could not independently verify the exact date or location of the video. But based on the available evidence, it is clear that the video predates the 2025 Pahalgam attack and has no connection to the post-attack tensions between India and Pakistan.
To sum up, old and unrelated visuals shared as the aftermath of Indian strikes in Pakistan.
