Fact: US President Biden did not snub PM Modi at the QUAD summit. In fact, as per the news reports, Biden praised Modi for successfully handling the COVID-19 situation in India. The lengthier version of the viral video clearly shows Biden talking to Modi, immediately after he is done talking to his Australian counterpart. The viral video is clipped, which edited out the part showing Biden’s interaction with Modi. Hence the claim made in the post is MISLEADING.
The viral visuals are from recently held QUAD summit in Japan. However, US President Joe Biden did not snub Modi at any point of time during the summit. In fact, there are reports saying Joe Biden praised Modi for successfully handling the COVID-19 situation in India.
As far as the viral clip is concerned, Google search led us to a news video which reported the same scene of Biden welcoming Anthony Albanese but from a different angle. This video clearly shows Biden talking to Modi in a jovial manner after he was done talking to Albanese.
