Fact: The message about changing the Indian Political system was not posted by Sundar Pichai. There are a lot of profiles and pages on his name. It can also be observed that his name is spelt wrong in the posted profile. Hence the claim made in the post is FALSE.

When searched on Google about Sundar Pichai making those comments, no information was found. It is also found that there is no verified account of Sundar Pichai on Facebook and there are a lot of profiles and pages on his name. Also, the same message was posted by various other users in 2016 without attributing it to him.

It can also be observed that his name is spelt wrong in the posted profile. It should be ‘Sundar’, not ‘Sunder’. On his official Twitter and Instagram accounts, it can be seen that his name is written as ‘Sundar Pichai’.

Also, when searched if he made any similar comments from his Twitter account, no such comments were found.

To sum it up, Sunder Pichai has not posted the message about changing the Indian Political system.

  2. It’s obvious, that such a post and a political post wouldn’t have been shared by a well known person like him who has much at stake if he does so.

    It would take a lot of guts for someone at such high position to take a stand on this crucial political set up of a country and urge for a systemic overhaul which is much required. And anyone who really wants to do so, m not sure whether would choose to do it through a social media platform like Facebook.
