No, Nita Ambani did not tweet on religious conversion. It was from a fake Twitter handle

A post on Facebook which claims that Nita Ambani has tweeted on religious conversion has got more than 1000 shares. Let’s try to check the authenticity of the tweet in the post.

Claim: Nita Ambani tweeted: “Any child takes birth as a Hindu but gets converted into Muslim by the outside world……”.

Fact: Nita Ambani does not have an official Twitter account. The above tweet was tweeted by a fake handle. Hence the claim made in the post is FALSE.  

When searched for the account of Nita Ambani on Twitter, it was found that she does not have any official Twitter account. So, when searched for the twitter handle (@NitaMambani) given in the post, it can be seen that the account ‘@NitaMambani’ has been suspended.

Also, it was found that MTNL got into a controversy last month when it replied to a communal tweet from the same fake Twitter handle. The details about the issue can be read here.

To sum it up, Nita Ambani did not tweet on religious conversion. It was from a fake Twitter handle.
