A video is being shared widely on social media claiming that the woman in the video is 250-years old. Let’s verify the claim made in the post.
Claim: Video of a 250-year-old woman from Pakistan.
Fact: Several Pakistani local websites and YouTube channels published the same video describing her as world’s oldest woman living in Lahore, Pakistan. But, there are no credible sources to prove the exact age of the woman shown in the video. According to the Guinness World Records website, the oldest person living in the world is Lucile Randon. Lucile Randon from France is 118 years and 73 days old, as verified on 25 April 2022. Hence, the claim made in the post is FALSE.
On reverse image search of the screenshots of the video, a video showing similar visuals was found published by a Pakistani-based YouTube channel named Apni Awaaz. This YouTube channel described it as the visuals of a suspected 210-years-old woman found living in Lahore, Pakistan. This YouTube channel mentioned that according to the facial features and skin tone of the woman, locals and media channels suspected the age of the woman was 210 years old. A few other Pakistani YouTube channels and Pakistani local media published images, videos and articles about this woman stating her age as 140 years, 300 years, etc.
The ‘Al Arabiya’ news channel also published a news report about the controversy and confusion surrounding the age of this old woman living in Lahore. But, neither Al Arabiya nor any other Pakistani news website provided the exact details of the age of this woman. There are no credible sources on the internet to confirm the exact age of this woman. A few other videos related to the woman can be seen here and here. If a 250-year-old woman survived on earth, several agencies including Guinness World Records would have taken note.
To sum it up, there are no credible sources to prove that the woman in this video is 250 years old.
