Several people on social media are sharing an article claiming that the Telangana State Chief Minister, worried over the hike in the number of coronavirus cases in India and in order to maintain sanity immediately after Eid, has decided for a 24-hour lockdown on 26 May 2020. The archived version of the article can be found here. FACTLY found that the Telangana State Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has not made any announcement in this regard, and no other official statement has been issued on the same. Telangana State Police through their official Facebook page has clarified that no such announcement was made and termed the news being in circulation as fake.
