Fact: Tata group through a tweet stated that the viral message about Valentine’s day gift was not issued by them. Taj Hotels also through a tweet said that they did not offer any gift card on the occasion of Valentine’s day. Hence the claim made in the post is FALSE.
Google search with relevant keywords led us to a tweet by Tata Group dated 02 February 2021 saying that the purported link hasn’t been issued by them and asks people to be cautious about such messages. Also, the tweet rates the message as Fake.
Further, clicking the link led us to a loop of surveys but did not yield us any such gifts as claimed in the post.
Google search with relevant keywords led us to a news article by Business Today which reports that Taj hotel did not offer any such gift cards for a seven-day stay on the occasion of Valentine’s day. The article also reports a tweet by Taj Hotels official handle which says that Taj Hotel has not launched any such promotion.
Further, in response to a tweet that shares the purported link, Taj Hotels has once again stated that Taj Hotels did not issue such an offer and the tweet asks people to be cautious.
To sum it up, neither Tata group not Taj Hotel issued any Valentine’s day gift card offer.
