message is being shared widely on social media claiming that the entire Mumbai and Pune will be under strict military lockdown for 10 days immediately after lockdown 4.0 i.e., from Sunday, 31 May 2020. The viral message also asks people to stock all essentials like groceries and vegetables, as only milk and medicines will be supplied during this period. But, FACTLY has found the message to be ‘fake’. Both Mumbai Police and PIB Mumbai have termed the message about the military lockdown in Mumbai and Pune as ‘fake’ and clarified that all essential supplies will be available. Mumbai Police has also informed that movement is permitted as per the lockdown guidelines and moving out is not permitted between 8 pm to 7 am.
